Sandals for the beach?

girls..I need help in finding some nice sandals to wear to the beach this summer! I have 3 pairs of flip flops.I%26#039;m looking for something with a heel. I have seen the cork soled sandals %26amp; they are really cute! If you attach some pictures to your answer of what you have that will give me an idea!

Sandals for the beach?
well I dont have any pics, but I have the CUTEST pair of platform sandals and they criss-cross tie up the legs. Not many people I have seen wear them up here (mainly cuz they%26#039;re hard to find) but they look really hot.
Reply:Heals in the sand will be very hard to walk in. But if you insist then Payless has some cute straw peek toe wedges.
Reply:just go to any shoe store..you will find them there

Sandals Resorts?

Are the Sandals Resorts for married couples only? My boyfriend and I have been dating for a while and want to take a vacation. I%26#039;m all for the all inclusive resorts and I would prefer a place where there are no children. I like kids, don%26#039;t get me wrong. But, resorts that are family friendly, tend to pay more attention to kids/families then childless adults.

I don%26#039;t want to book a trip there to find out it%26#039;s all married couples? A bit awkard and difficult to explain to people who ask.

What are people%26#039;s experiences at Sandals? Which one did you stay at? Was in all inclusive? If it was and you don%26#039;t mind me asking, how much did it cost? What kind of room did you stay in?

Sandals Resorts?
I think Sandals is a family resort but Couples (if those are still around) are as they sound for couples. Never mind that, I looked at the website. Sandals is a couples only thing--married or not doesn%26#039;t matter.

http://www.sandals.com/general/couples.c...

Beaches must be the family resort.
Reply:They are for anyone that wants to go, married or not.

Its just that they have special things if you want to get married or have a honeymoon there.

All Sandals are all-inclusive (some things are charged separately). Beaches is the Sandals equivalent for kids.

http://www.sandals.com
Reply:Along with being a Wedding Coordinator, I am also a Travel Agent and a Certified Sandals Specialist, and no, you do not have to be married to stay at a Sandals Resort. It is designed for couples to relax away from children, but there is no marriage requirement.

As for costs, it would depend on which location you chose, type of room, etc.
Reply:My wife and I did Sandals in St. Lucia for our honeymoon and we LOVED it. There are three Sandals resorts on the island, and each is a slightly different experience. There is the Grand, which is the %26quot;Big Daddy%26quot;--thousands of rooms, and just about every activity you could imagine. The Regency is the place to go to relax. There is a world-class spa and golf course on this property. We stayed at the Halcyon Beach, which we loved because it is the smallest of the three, and we got to know many of the other couples there, and even the staff (we thought the bigger ones were a bit more impersonal).

The great thing is that there are free shuttles that will take you to either of the other two resorts, and you are free to use all facilities there, too. The slogan is, %26quot;Stay at one, play at three.%26quot;

As for cost, I seem to remember it was about $4,000 for a full week for both of us (all food %26amp; drink included, of course), but your travel agent can give you a better estimate.

Have a blast!
Reply:My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon but met a couple that was not married. We loved it, champaign flight, champaign in lobby @ resort (Sandals Royal-Bahamian@Cable Beach). We had a great corner room, all-inclusive, private beaches and MUCHmore, boat ride to near by island for dinner 2 nights(10 min. ride). Steps from bus stop into Nassau, blocks from casino, didn%26#039;t see any kids, but didn%26#039;t really ask, staff VERY friendly. $1600.00 total, but that was ten years ago. Good luck.
Reply:Ask a travel agent the questions---no kids is not a problem---just don%26#039;t guess or assume anything--get the details. And who cares if you two are married??? No one asks or cares. make sure you BOTH agree to every detail of the arrangements--once you are there it will suck if one of you is mad or pouting. The room is to sleep and dress---go cheap---you will want to be outside as much as possible---or why bother to go?? try a cruise that goes just a couple of days to no where special--just to see if you like it. that is just like a Sandals place anyway...only it floats.
Reply:I am actually going to a Sandals resort for my honeymoon. Right now they have AMAZING rates, up to 50% off, we got an $8,000 room for a little under $4000. It is completely all inclusive, even a top shelf bar is included. It looks beautiful. Our room has a balcony, a whirlpool, a seperate shower, the 4 post king bed, and its HUGE. We also overlook the beach and are in hop skip and jump distance from the biggest pool on the resort.

My brother and his wife have gone there and they loved it as well.

Actually, my brother and my sister in law werent married yet when they went and they had the time of their lives there, they just went for fun too!! Go for it, it will be very nice!! and i%26#039;m telling u.. book asap.. its $400 down and u can pay the rest in incriments over the time until u go up til a month before your dates are, and the specials they have right now are AMAZING

With sandals they have i think 2-3 resorts that are family friendly. The rest are couples resorts, dont HAVE to be married, its just a nice way to get away and just have a couples time.
Reply:No, Sandals resorts don%26#039;t require you be married. Most say %26quot;couples only%26quot; because they don%26#039;t allow children. Usually it%26#039;s 18 or above in all of the couples only, but make sure you reserve one of them. I%26#039;m pretty sure Sandals has some resorts that are for the whole family.

I booked my honeymoon at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian in St. Lucia for this August. It%26#039;s got two other Sandals resorts that are minutes away. And with there plan you stay at one, play at three. You%26#039;ll have access to all the resturants and features that the other two Sandals has no matter which one you book at. The only catch is you have to spend the night in the one you booked. Otherwise they drive you there and back and everything%26#039;s still all included.

So i%26#039;d suggest you try them out. It%26#039;s under the hurricane belt so if you%26#039;re traveling during hurricane season which i think it like May till the end of September you%26#039;re going to want to make sure you%26#039;re in St. Lucia because it%26#039;s one of the only Sandals resort islands that%26#039;s under the hurricane belt so you don%26#039;t get messed up in a tropical storm on your trip.

Call a travel agent near you and talk it all out with them. Mine was able to get us an amazing deal. We saved over a grand with him by not booking with Sandals directly. Most travel agents get a group rate, discounts and deals. So good luck and have fun!
Reply:No it%26#039;s for COUPLES ONLY- so you will feel right at home.

They usually are a bit pricey- check cheaptickets.com and I believe Jamaica%26#039;s Sandals is about the cheapest.........
Reply:No they are not only for married couples, just for adults only and no explanations are necessary as I%26#039;m sure since the setting is one of romance most people are going to be focused on each other. BTW have you checked out the Grand Rio Oches (romeo %26amp; juliet suite) its is gorgeous.
Reply:All Sandals resorts are SUPER ALL INCLUSIVE.

They are not for married couples only, they are for couples only (no children). They are very romantic. The Sandals Royal Bahamian is their SIGNATURE resort. It has 8 restaurants, 7 pools, 5 hot tubs, 4 swim up bars, misting pool and a water taxi shuttle to another private island. They have a luxury spa (additional charge for services). I have booked for Aug. 2007 the cost is $590. per night per couple for a DeLuxe room. You also might want to look at Sandals Royal Carribean.
Reply:We went to Couples resort in Ocho Rios jamaica.... they have 5 resorts in total I believe, and they aren%26#039;t just for married couples.

There are NO Kids allowed. It was a fabulous time!

Do Middle Eastern people wear sandals because it's religious?

I see Middle Eastern people wear sandals all the time. In the middle east, it%26#039;s hot there, so I can see why they wear sandals there. But I hear the ground temperature is more than 150 degrees. At that temp your feet would fry, so how can you wear sandals there.

I also see Middle Eastern people wear sandals even in cool places, like the mall. It%26#039;s not hot there, so why wear sandals there? Is it religious or something?

Do Middle Eastern people wear sandals because it%26#039;s religious?
No has nothing to do with their religion ,just custom.
Reply:haha noo.

im muslim and we wear sandals for the same reason americans do. Report It

Reply:Have you asked this already? Not all Middle Easterners are Muslim, I for one am Assyrian and Christian (from Iraq). There is no such thing as wearing sandals as being religious.
Reply:what do you mean when you say Middle Eastren, i think you mea people in gulf country.

i am from Syria and we dotn wear sandals at all, some people do it and our country not that much hot,

also there in gulf not all of them wearing sandals, any way to wearing sandals it is jsut belonge to the nature of their country and the way they are lining, some people still living as beduin and they dont need to think about wearing.
Reply:it%26#039;s cultural and yea, cause it%26#039;s hot. When you were sneekers, your feet sweat and stink. Muslim need to be clean and clear in order to pray so, no stinking allowed.
Reply:Not religious like its part of our faith but our prophet Mohammad peace be upon him told us that we try not to wear sandals all the time neither shoes. Some times wear this other times wear that. Add to this that it is a part of our culture and I dont be bothered by the heat. though chill bothers me some times.
Reply:It is custom, it has nothing to do with religion, it is because it%26#039;s too hot
Reply:Not everyone in middle east wears that, and if u see someone does that, where%26#039;s the religous thing in that? don%26#039;t afraid, we don%26#039;t adore sandals.
Reply:nooooooooooooooooooooooo,

not at all, it is just comfy and they used to wear it, not all the middle easteren country wear it. i wish it is easy to wear it here in Egypt as other countries. it is soo relaxing to have sandal.
Reply:dont strain yourself what difference does it make they like to wear sandals or they dont like to wear sandals
Reply:no

Sandals Beach?

Hi, I checked out the website for Sandals beach and I want to take my husband there for our 1st anniversary slash honeymoon we never got to take. What is the best resort for the best price, that you recommend we stay. I am so excited and also do you know if you can start a payment plan or do you have to pay EVERYTHING up front when making reservations? I know I want to go to Jamaica, any experiences that you want to share on staying in a Sandals resort and advice will help! Thanks in advance...

Sandals Beach?
There are many different sandals in Jamaica, Sandals White house, Sandal Dunn%26#039;s River, Sandals Negril, Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandal Inn and three other the ones I mention is the ones I have been to. My favorite is Negril the beach is breath taking and the hotel on a whole is great the staff, the food their are also many places outside of the hotel you can go. Make sure and visit Rick%26#039;s Cafe, Jungle Night club, the light house and the new water park. The best thing way to get a cheap price is to call the local number at the hotel and if you are Jamaican ask for the local price. If you intend to stay a few days you would have to pay the for the first night or they will ask for half of the payment.
Reply:I stayed at Sandals Montego Bay last month and it was beautiful. They keep the grounds clean and there are alot of activities. Also if you want to relax there is time to do that too. This resort is less than 10 minutes from the airport so you will hear the planes taking off, which will not be a big problem. The food is delicious. The resort is beautiful. Your best bet would be to go through a travel agent where you can get a payment plan. They also may be able to get you a good deal. I have heard that Sandals Whitehouse is much better but I haven%26#039;t been there so I can only recommend Sandals Montego Bay. Good Luck!
Reply:all i can say is the original sandals (Jamaica inn) is right in the flight pattern to the airport,so it was very noisy...last year i went to the rui in ocho rios right next door to the sandals and it was a lovely property...walmart vacations had a payment plan options but i don%26#039;t know if it still exists.have fun on your vacation!
Reply:For a laid back life try Sandals Negril however if you pay for one you can play at all .

For reservation bookit.com gives you one month to pay it.

Reply:Before choosing Sandals from their website I suggest you check the resort out, among others, at TripAdvisor.com. Type in the resort name in the search area and you will find out LOTS about the resort. You can view %26quot;candid traveler photos%26quot;, read reviews written by travelers, read the resort amenities, and lots more.

Resorts typically come in 3 types, relaxing, romantic, and fun. Before deciding on what you want in a resort decide what it is you want your perfect resort to be and want the resort to offer. Then go back to TripAdvisor and look for your perfect resort.

Typically travel agents require payment up front. Any payment plan would have to be between you and a credit card or something similar. I keep hearing that a small resort in the Runaway Bay area of Jamaica is the best buy on the island. It is called Club Ambiance. But there are many great resorts on the island. The secret is finding the perfect one for you and your husband.
Reply:We go to Sandals Negril every Dec., we keep going back so it must be wonderful. You%26#039;ll have a great time weather you like to lay on the beach, scuba,canoe, ski, etc.....Food is really good and plentiful, drinks are great. You can check out tripadvisor.com for other opinions. Worth the price, we highly recommend.
Reply:Sandals is not the only hotel in Jamaica. There%26#039;s the even better Half Moon Golf Resort and Spa and the Ritz Carlton, which I agree are much more pricier but are rated 4 and 5 stars by various entities. They are also the hotels of choice by honeymooners. Try booking your getaway with a travel agency like http://www.col.com/ or travelocity or expedia or any of those but use Col and see how much you can save. It%26#039;s always a good idea to book your vacations thru a travel agency.
Reply:I too love Sandals Negril-when I went it was beautiful and small so you don%26#039;t have the hundreds of guest like the big hotels. Not sure of the payments available overseas I am Jamaican and we do get a local rate that is less than overseas visitors. Come you will have a great time in Jamaica, especially if you stay in Negril. You and your husband will love watching the sunset on the beach-That%26#039;s what life if all about

New Sandals?

This married couple was on holiday in India. They were touring around the marketplace looking at the goods and such, when they

passed this small sandalshop.

From inside they heard a gentleman with an Indian accent say, %26quot;You

foreigners! Come in. Come into my humble shop.%26quot;

So the married couple walked in.

The Indian man said to them %26quot;I have some special sandals I tink you would be interested in. Dey make you wild at sex like great

desert camel.%26quot;

Well, the wife was really interested in buying the sandals after what the man claimed, but her husband felt he really didn%26#039;t need

them, being the sex god he was.

The husband asked the man, %26quot;How could sandals make you into a sex freak?%26quot;

The Indian man replied, %26quot;Just try dem on, Saiheeb.%26quot;

Well, the husband, after some badgering from his wife, finally gave in, and tried them on. As soon as he slipped them onto his

feet, he got this wild look in his eyes,something his wife hadn%26#039;t seen in many years-raw sexual power!

In the blink of an eye, the husband grabbed the Indian man, bent him violently over a table, yanked down his pants, ripped down his own pants, and grabbed a firm hold of the Indian%26#039;s thighs.

The Indian then began screaming, %26quot;YOU HAVE DEM ON DE WRONG FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any cute shoes / sandals besides tennis shoes that i can wear with orthodics?

I have to wear orthodics because my feet are really screwed up. Anyway, im in high school and it kinda sucks because all the girls are wearing cute sandals and flats, and dainty shoes and im stuck wearing clunky, ugly tennis shoes. Are there any cute shoes/sandals that i can wear with orthodics?

(ps none of those really ugly sandals hiking sandals like tevas, but cute ones that a high school girl actually might wear.)

any other girls in the same position?
